A little art challenge for you! #LittleArtChallenge
Can you get into the flow?
I was inspired to do this piece by one of my daughter’s own artworks. I was impressed with the way she just drew this, with no rub-outs, no planning, no whining that it was rubbish…
She just sang and drew, and came out with it.
I pinned it to my studio wall and used it as my reference.
I found it really helped me to just be with my work. Using someone else’s doodles helped separate me from the anxiety of coming up with my own!
The structure, composition and palette were already done for me — all I had to do was express the same concept in my own unique way.
Sounds easy, right? Well, that’s because it is! (And why I’m calling it a “little” art challenge — you’ll be surprised how easy it will be to complete!)
I’m curious to know if this technique can help you too?
- To try it out, view the full-size image here. Right-click and save the picture. It should download a reasonably sized image that you can print.
- Then, decide you’re going to be in the flow as you create your own piece. And do it!
- I’d love to see/read/hear your results! Simply upload your result in the Facebook thingy below, and describe how “being in the flow” felt to you 🙂 Use the hashtag #LittleArtChallenge so we can keep track of what everyone’s posting.
This is meant to be a fun little art challenge to help get you past a creative block, or to try something new. So don’t be shy… just do it!
